Kathryn Wilson, Certified Canadian Staging Professional, RCS-D, RSW
Kathryn Wilson is a Registered Social Worker who has spent many years in the counselling profession working with individuals, couples and families. She has facilitated groups over the years focusing on parenting, parenting after separation and being on your own again following separation and divorce.
In 2008, Kathryn followed a dream of hers and trained to become a Home Stager helping homeowners prepare their home for real estate sale so that their homes sell quickly and for top dollar.A particular interest of hers is helping couples who are separating/divorcing sell their home, knowing that this is often a difficult challenge.Trained through Divorce this House™, Kathryn helps couples look at the “best interest of the house™”, so that they can begin to detach from the family home and move onto living apart in their own new home.Applying the principles of home staging, Divorce Home Staging involves looking out for the “best interest of the house™” which mutually benefits both parties. The Home Stager’s role is that of project manager and mediator who takes the lead when there are incredible stresses and emotional challenges. With the Home Stager’s coaching, the house is viewed as a product and a major business transaction (sale is not personal) and the divorcing spouses come to view each other as business colleagues. This way of neutralizing the house and staying neutral provides the opportunity to build a more positive post-divorce relationship.
